As part of the preparation for the 2,000km “Running a Smile Through South Africa” journey from Cape Town to Namibia, I’ll be taking on the full Cape Town Cycle Tour route — approximately 109km around the Cape Peninsula.

About the Event
As part of the preparation for the 2,000km “Running a Smile Through South Africa” journey from Cape Town to Namibia, I’ll be taking on the full Cape Town Cycle Tour route — approximately 109km around the Cape Peninsula — on Saturday, 31 October.
The iconic route follows the same roads ridden during the world-famous Cape Town Cycle Tour, passing through areas such as Chapman’s Peak, Simon’s Town, Muizenberg, and Constantia.
This run is dedicated to my cyclist, Rueben Piet, who supported and accommodated me during my Cape Town to Durban journey and continue to stand behind the road ahead to Namibia.
More than just a training run, it is about building the endurance, discipline, and mental strength needed for the challenges ahead, while continuing to create awareness around addiction recovery, gender-based violence (GBV), hope, and resilience within our communities.
